Pimp My Pug Event Recap 2010

November 17, 2010 Forty dog lovers and 23 dogs came out for photos at Pimp my Pug last weekend, raising $450 for Pug Rescue of New England and collected over 100 pounds of pet food to feed the hungry guys at Lowell Humane Society.

We had representatives from both the pug rescue and humane society on hand to talk to attendees about their organizations. The woman from the pug rescue had her dog JJ - also a rescue- in a baby stroller because he had a stroke and couldn't walk. He was very smiley and had fun getting patted by everyone who met him. A pet Reiki practitioner from Pawsitively Reiki was giving free Reiki treatments to the dogs.

Dogs were dressed as skeletons and bumble bees, and one little pug named Deisel showed up in camo. There were also dogs dressed up for their Christmas card photos in hats, sweaters and bells. The students who came to help seemed to enjoy it and learned a little about studio pet portraiture.
