Working With Flash for Audio

December 18, 2008 Recently I posted a new websitewww.ryanlaperlemusic.com.

The website still has the same address but it's now a brand new site with all the bells and whistles.  I know I spoke of this last blog, but this is up and running thanks to the great web design program at CDIA and CDIA alum Amanda Martocchio. Its amazing how  busy I was, working up to the launching of the site.   Amanda, who designed it, did all the real busy foot work and design. Her and I looked at sites of other musicians to get ideas.  I was looking for an audio player that would play during your time at the site and not restart the player if you click on a new button.  She told me that she would have to create it in Flash instead of HTML.  It was Amanda who was willing to take on this challenge and use flash,  without a lot of experience,  I think that is awesome.  I don't much about webdesign, I just know Flash is hard and complicated to work with.  After many weeks of trial and error, she was able to get it up and running.

During this I found myself going to CDIA weekly to meet about the site, and to make sure it worked on the server etc...  It was nice to have something that brought me back to CDIA. I was able to have some post school reminiscing.  I forgot how nice it was to leave your daily routine and go to this great artistic world where everyone had the same mind set and goals.  That is always something that I really enjoyed about CDIA.  To see the new player check out my new website.
