Rob Van Petten's "Near Future"

January 8, 2009 For the January 2009 issue of Professional Photographer Magazine, CDIA-Waltham Photography Program Associate Director  Rob Van Petten was featured in an article on his personal style of photography including his newest project, "Near Future."

"That process of developing his style has led Van Petten to some interesting personal projects, the most recent of which he calls  "Near Future". Derived from his youthful interest in chemistry, physics and science fiction, the images in this collection look something like '50's comic strip meets a Richard Avedon fashion shoot. "The work is about a feeling more than anything else," says Van Petten."
