Ryan LaPerle

Ryan LaPerle BIO Ryan is an Audio Production student at CDIA. He began his love affair with music at age 13. Inspired by a neighbor, who allowed him to pick up the guitar for the first time, he started taking lessons. He began writing his own songs in high school. Since then, songwriting has been his medium for expression. In 2003, he recorded his first EP called "Crashed into Infinity," a solo effort of seven originals. These days, Ryan spends most of his time writing, composing and hanging in recording studios, creating new musical poetry daily. He is currently working on his first full album and hopes to tour again very soon.

Working With Flash for Audio

December 18, 2008 Recently I posted a new website -  www.ryanlaperlemusic.com. The website still has the same address but it's now a brand new site with all the bells and whistles.  I know I spoke of this last blog, but this is up and running thanks to the great web design program at CDIA and CDIA alum Amanda Martocchio. Its amazing how  busy I was, working up to the launching of the site.   Amanda, who designed it, did all the real busy Read On...

Back to Busy

November 14, 2008 It's getting cold outside and harder to finish up vocals for my EP. Every time I think I am good to go record, my voice decides it's not. I am heading back to the studio this Sunday and hoping things will be back on again. I am now helping out a friend from my CDIA audio class. He needs to record some stuff for a band he brought in for his final project. I am excited to just get back to working on other projects and working with audio. Feel Read On...

A Real Life Live Sound Lesson

November 5, 2008 It's Thursday and I am on my way to getting over a cold. This small
bug has put the recording of my EP on hold. Since vocals are the last of
what I really need to do, and I want it done right, it's slowing the process
down. Friday I am going back in and I am like 90% sure I will be able to
perform in the studio. I have a feeling  staying up to see the Sox in the playoffs
and still playing shows on the wee Read On...

Collaboration on a Musical Passion

October 8, 2008 So I graduated from school about 2 weeks ago and nothing has really changed, but many things are in motion. I am still going to the studio and finishing things up. I just had a 4-hour vocal session in studio D, I have a teacher of mine from CDIA assisting and helping me produce the EP. I am really excited on how things are turning out. If everything goes according to plan, which always happens in the audio world (no, not really), I should be don Read On...

Lessons From My Final Project

September 16, 2008 My name is Ryan LaPerle. I’m a singer/songwriter and an Audio Production student at CDIA. My final project is a new EP (“Disguise”) which is coming out this Fall. With this project I really took the role of producer, hiring other musicians and organizing the schedules and budgets to make everything run smoothly.      I also just finished a promotional multimedia film with Vanessa Embling, a graduate Read On...
