Philip Percuoco

BIO Philip's career has evolved since graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology and then studying Industrial Design at the Massachusetts College of Art + Design. He started in footwear design at Converse, then moved on to work for many of New England’s fine footwear companies including Stride Rite, Titleist, Footjoy and Reebok. As a designer and product manager, he became involved in production, which took him to China. His versatility and ability were sought after by Sherwood, a Chinese factory specializing in shoe manufacturing. It was here that Philip honed his design, production, project management and client service skills. Later, Philip was recruited by SpringBoost, a Swiss high performance footwear company. He was instrumental in their US launch and was able to wear many hats and learn what it takes to launch, run and maintain a successful business. He became Director of Sales and he managed a team that grew sales from nothing to $1,000,000. While the footwear industry is a great place to be, Philip found himself further and further from his design roots. Interested in getting back to more creative applications, he enrolled in the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University's Graphic and Web Design program. Having identified the Internet as a critical element for businesses, he wanted to add a programming capability to his design skills. Philip is currently a web product designer at Fresh Tilled Soil in Wellesley Hills, MA. Philip knows about market demands, meeting sales goals, and production delays, but most importantly, he is a designer at heart. www.philpercuoco.com
