Joel McNamee

BIO Joel is the Web Development Consulting Director here at CDIA at Boston University. Joel brings ten years of experience in development to CDIA. After graduating from UMass–Dartmouth with a BS in Computer Engineering and a minor in Mathematics, he began coding embedded software professionally for the consumer electronics group of Gemstar-TV Guide. In 2006, he moved to a Professional Services position as a web developer and implementation engineer at Framingham, MA-based Courion Corporation. Through this position, Joel was not only able to push his technical abilities to new levels, but also gained experience in managing customers and business partners. He is the co-founder, web developer and publicist for a reputable music website, established in 2001, and continues to hone his web development and management skills through a variety of hobbies and professions.
